Boston police are continuing their search Wednesday morning for two armed suspects accused of robbing banks in Roxbury and Roslindale at gunpoint, frightening customers and workers in broad daylight.

Everett police apprehended two people suspected of robbing an Eastern Bank branch Tuesday, recovering a machete and a firearm, officials said.

The preliminary investigation suggests that two men robbed the bank at gunpoint before running from the scene down Harrison Avenue toward the Orchard Park area.
