There is no easy way to share the news that Ruby lost her battle with DCM on Tuesday, 8/2/22. I wanted to do a video, but I can’t talk about it yet without breaking down. She started acting strangely on Monday night and my wife (an ER nurse) felt her heart in a rapid rhythm. When we got her to the emergency vet, her heartrate was over 300. It wasn’t always like this, but somewhere along the way Ruby lost her fear of needles and now actually looks FOWARD to getting her blood drawn…and now apparently IV’s!! 😆❤️ I have had many people tell me they have shared videos of Ruby being brave and it has helped their own child (or THEM!) be more brave when taking shots or getting their blood drawn. ❤️Some have also requested a video that will permanently live here so it’s easy to find when needed…so here it is!!
