This majestic sweet chestnut tree immediately stood out to me with her incredible size and obvious history of trauma. Large branches strewn at the base, bulbous growths all the way up the trunk and that curious charred inner bark. She’s centuries old but still going strong in spite of it all! If you really take the time to observe nature, it will almost always give you the answers. Also..
