We’ve started doing Mini Shim Sham lessons at Boston Swing Central in the middle of our Friday dances! This iconic line dance is well loved in the Lindy Hop community, but we get a lot of new dancers and beginners who don’t always know the steps. So to make this part of our night more inclusive for everyone, we’re going to do some mini lessons like these over the next couple of months. So if you’ve been wanting to learn the Shim Sham for a while, but never have, this is your sign to come to BSC!

Routine from 1927 with a twist in the second part The Shim Sham is a tap routine created by Leonard Reed & Willie Bryant in 1927, originally called "Goofus".
