We created a wearable pocket heater by printing @celanesecorp's Intexar™ PE874, a stretchable silver conductive ink, on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Heat sensitive substrates like TPU and PET can be damaged by soldering, and require an alternative solution. We used Z-axis tape to connect the sensor pads of our strain gauge (printed on TPU) and ribbon cable (printed on polyimide) to a rigid board.
