I don’t consider this a true 1-rep max test. I just know I got 325 and may have been able to get another 5-10 pounds. Alone in my office is new for me and I think I need to do a lot more practicing how to get out from under the bar to be able to trust my methods enough to push myself beyond 100% where I know I’ll find failure like in the other 1RMs I did so far. My squat is on the shallow side due to femoral acetabular impingement and a history of injuring my hip if I take it too far. Here it’s

We do want to test BUT testing 1RMs isn’t what we do in my program for a few reasons but the main one is ego comes into it, form goes out the window and this is when injuries can happen. - Instead what I prefer to do is a 3 rep max test, then off the back of this you can calculate a predicted 1 rep max and use this value. This is a much safer way to measure your progress.
